CertView Helps Manage Oracle Credentials Oracle has added a management interface to its certification holders that acts as a one-stop shop. Called CertView, it requires a username and password. Once logged on, a host of information is available, including certification history, certification logos, and a very cool tool that allows you to verify your certification to a third party. This last function is pretty exciting, I think. It gives a potential or current employer, or client, the ability to check out your certifications for themselves. They will get a login that will allow them to examine the section of CertView that contains your certifications. Very easy, very slick. Note that at your first logon, you'll need to provide demographic information from Pearson VUE, Oracle's new testing partner. I only bring this up because Oracle had a big "Warning" sign about it in its CertView overview video. Have that information on hand before you register for CertView, and enter it carefully, as you'll be locked out for awhile if you don't punch it in correctly. I really like CertView, and the forward thinking it represents from Oracle. It's a terrific tool for credential holders. Permalink | Comment | Email this Google Begins Replying to More Nexus One Complaints Google appears to be trying to boost its customer support for Nexus One customers, posting replies to many more queries on its online forum. Google has come under fire since the launch of the Nexus One after hundreds of messages were posted with complaints or questions about the phone. Many customers said that after calling T-Mobile they were referred to HTC, the phone's maker, or the reverse. Google does not have a customer-service phone line, and customers sending e-mails were being told to wait one or two days for a reply.

Instead of putting out the call for resumes however, Quixey has come up with an original and entertaining way of finding the best talent out there. Engineers are invited to take a challenge solving the kinds of problems that will demonstrate their skills. To take the challenge, you must first complete a three practice puzzles. These puzzles include finding the shortest path connecting ordered pairs of nodes in a graph, or finding the greatest common divisor in a pair of numbers. Correctly solving the puzzles may get you invited for a Skype call where you can take the Quixey challenge where you might win $100 for fixing a software bug in less than a minute. Non-technical people can win $50 if they refer someone to the Quixey Challenge website who successfully completes the challenge.
